Employee Assistance Program
In 1985, Berkshire Medical Center, a non-profit acute care community teaching hospital established the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to provide confidential outreach and support to Berkshire County employees and their family members experiencing a variety of behavioral health problems. The EAP provides a safe environment for employees and/or their family members who may be at risk or those affected by mental health difficulty, substance abuse, other health conditions and situational stress. The EAP recognizes that prompt intervention for these problems may often reduce the risk of more severe suffering and/or disability.
We are not a privately owned national EAP with corporate offices across the United States. Our EAP is regionally based, strongly connected to and knowledgeable about our community and its resources.
